Man Eat’s Raw Pig’s Head outside Vegan Food festival

The man was confronted by an animal rights group waving ‘meat is murder’ placards in Brighton where VegFest 2019 was taking place.

Organisers of the festival issued a statement saying meat-eaters were uncomfortable at ‘seeing the faces of the animals they eat’.

Tim Barford Spokesman for VegFest UK reported: ‘We knew about the planned protest and were expecting 30 protesters. ‘Three turned up, which was slightly sad for them and reminiscent of a Nigel Farage march. ‘But they proceeded to upset kids and members of the public, and with that in mind, the police arrived, gave them a warning and sent them packing. ‘What was interesting was that we had meat eating members of the public saying that this revolting spectacle had encouraged them to give up eating meat – so it seems the anti vegan protest actually encouraged people to go vegan.’

The move comes after a number of protests by vegans at restaurants that sell meat across the coastal city.

A Brazilian steakhouse was visited by protesters who played the sounds of cows being slaughtered. It was cut short when diners started jeering, booing and making cow noises. Vegan activists storm steakhouse to yell at patrons. They also visited a sustainable shop for ‘selling a lie’ because it promoted ‘happy’ locally sourced and free range meat, eggs and milk. And in December, vegans in Brighton targeted the turkey aisle at Waitrose saying ‘you can’t shop in peace when you are buying death’.
